I’m Jim Hustwit and in 2011, at the age of 31, I quit my day job in marketing to pursue a career doing what I love… MUSIC
We spend one third of our lives working and I wanted to make sure I was doing something incredible!
I now earn a living from my passion and have produced music for Universal, EMI, BMG WestOne & NinjaTune
The best bit… I’ve never even studied composition. (I studied German and Business at Uni)
Last month I made £3,186.54 from production music alone…
That income was generated whilst I slept, by music which I wrote over three years ago!!
… and it’s not even that much. I know people who earn 4 x that amount.
I don’t tell you that to boast, but rather demonstrate the potential of production music (library music or stock music)
I’m my own boss, I take holiday when I like (sometimes for six weeks) and hand pick the projects that come in.
I don’t technically need to work… but I do because I love it.

Who is the Sync Accelerator for?
Anyone who feels like they could benefit from direct professional input and development on their productions and compositions. The idea is to make sure your music is optimised for sync but also stands up to scrutiny of industry professionals like publishers, production music companies and advertisers
How is this different to other Music Production courses?
The main difference is you have direct access to me and my 14 years industry experience. Most courses just send you videos to do on your own. You have direct contact with me each week where I hold you to account, encourage and support you and provide personalised feedback
What level do I need to be at?
The programme is designed for people from beginner to intermediate level. You need to know the basics of music production like recording and programming.
What DAW do I need?
You can use any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). The principles covered in the sync accelerator are relevant to everyone irrespective of your software choice
Do I need to be able to read music to do the Sync Accelerator?
Absolutely not. You need know your way around basic production concepts but there is no formal qualification requirement. We think a good ear is better than a good eye when it comes to music.
Is The Sync Accelerator available in my country?
The Sync Accelerator is open to anyone in any country. The only prerequisite is that you speak a good level of English as all course material is in English
